Greetings and Happy New Year!
First and foremost, a message from our commanding officer:
“It is my duty, pleasure and honor to announce that having passed the needed time in grade, academic work, and the scrutiny of the promotion board, Ensign Charles Caserta is hereby promoted to the rank of Lieutenant (JG) effective 29 Dec 2016.
Congratulations, Lieutenant and may you this Test with honor and skill as you continue your successful advancement as a member of the GSN.”
Now as we start 2017, there are a few dates to share with you.
– The first is our upcoming January Crew Meeting. This is planned for Sunday, January 29th at 3pm at White Horse Tavern in NYC. Good food and crew camaraderie available to all who come. – We also have our March Crew Meeting planned out as its taking place at the annual Coffee and Tea Festival at the Brooklyn Expo Center. We’ll be there Sunday, March 19th at 12pm when the general admission is allowed in. Onto the CONs that we’re working on arranging participation in.
– I-CON is back! Looking into doing at least a table if not panels. So keep Friday March 17th and/or Saturday March 18th open if you might want to help out at the sci-fi convention or visit us if you’re going as a guest. http://blog.iconsf.org/
– We will be attending LI Geek again this year with a table if not panels as well. This Sci-Fi and Fantasy Convention will be held April 22-23, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Long Island in Hauppauge. http://longislandgeek.com/ So be sure to come on down and join your command triad.
