Some good news today.
1) All Hands a rounds of Bravo Zulu for the newly minted Lieutenant Commander Jessica Ackerson. She has been breveted to LCDR and assigned to Home Fleet as the Electronic Warfare Officer. She will be quite the asset to the fleet and will continue to bring honor to herself, our ship, and the queen.
2) The Rampant Manticore Awards are about to open for nominations. The rules are available at http://www.rampantmanticore.com/ There is a time in service requirement for voting. But if you attempt to log in and are not eligible, it will simply tell you you aren’t eligible and nothing worse. I know we have quite a few readers on the ship and I hope all of them who are eligible give voting a shot. At least you may discover some books or authors you didn’t know about.
